How to reach the holiday house
Podere Tepolino is located in the municipality of Castel del Piano – GROSSETO (be careful because there is also another Castel del Piano in the province of Perugia ).
To get to Castel del Piano from the north on the highway:
Exit the A1 at Firenze IMPRUNETA (the exit before that of Firenze Sud).
Just off the highway, turn right onto the Siena-Grosseto. Follow this state road, mostly 4 lanes and paying a lot of attention to speed cameras which are however well signposted, up to PAGANICO NORD .
This exit is immediately after a tunnel on the right and you have to go down a road for a few hundred meters. At the end, turn left following the signs for MONTE AMIATA, Castel del Piano.
All very easy and well signposted.
Arrived in Castel del Piano You have to follow the signs towards SEGGIANO. From the Castel del Piano exit in the direction of Seggiano, continue for 2.5 km. You will recognize a nursery on your right (there is a large sign with the name Lodi) right on a sharp bend to the left.
A few meters later you will see a crossroads on the right uphill for Vivo D'Orcia - Pescina.
You have to go straight and you will easily recognize on your right a restaurant with a white roof: 170 gr is the name that is not very visible on the wall.
In front of this restaurant, on your LEFT, there is a downhill road with various indications: Casidore, La Marrona, a white sign indicating Ass. IANUA MEDICA (located at our farm).
The downhill road is almost entirely asphalted, it becomes a dirt road for a very short stretch and then returns to asphalted, you have to follow it for about a kilometer. Shortly after the resumption of the asphalt, on the RIGHT, you will find a large wooden sign with the inscription in white: Ass. Ianua Medica Amiata - Podere Tepolino - Az. Pachamama. There are 3 different denominations that indicate our farm and Podere Tepolino.
Turn right and after a few meters you will meet the Podere Pinzicalari, owned by our friend and colleague Federico del Conte. Follow the road that ends at Podere Tepolino after about 300 meters. Here you will find the parking and following the small road on foot you will arrive at the owner's house
DO NOT SET THE PODERE TEPOLINO AS THE FINAL DESTINATION USING THE COMMON NAVIGATORS. You would get lost in the woods due to an error on the map or you would reach the locality Tepolini, near us but from which it is not possible to reach our farm by car.
Use the navigator only to reach Castel del Piano or to continue from there towards Seggiano.
